Wallpaper Installation & Removal
Clean seams, perfectly aligned patterns, and no bubbles or lifted edges — for new installs and full removals.
Overview
Wallpaper installed right — or removed without wrecking the wall.
Wallpaper has come all the way back. Patterned accent walls, grasscloth dining rooms, commercial vinyl in hospitality spaces — we hang it all, and we do it the way wallpaper is supposed to be hung: with proper wall prep, real pattern matching, and seams you have to look hard to find.
We also do a lot of removal work. Old wallpaper that's been on twenty years, layers of paste, paint applied over the top — we know how to get it off without tearing up the drywall underneath, so the wall is ready to take paint or new paper cleanly.
Our Process
Surface prep is the whole game.
Whether we're installing or removing, the wall comes first. For new installs we wash, patch, sand, and prime with a proper wallcovering primer. Patterned paper goes on a wall that's been mapped — start point, plumb line, and pattern repeat planned before the first strip touches the wall.
For removal we score, steam or solvent the paper depending on the type, peel in controlled sections, and scrape off the paste residue. The wall is washed, patched, and sealed so whatever goes on next — paint or new wallcovering — has a clean honest surface to bond to.
What's Included
What's in a wallpaper project.
Wallpaper jobs are quoted by the project, not the hour — and every quote spells out scope clearly.
Wall Survey & Prep Estimate
We measure, count rolls, identify drywall issues, and quote prep separately so the install number is clean.
Primer For Wallcoverings
Acrylic wallcovering primer applied before any paper goes up — it improves bond and lets the paper come off cleanly in the future.
Pattern Mapping & Plumb Layout
Pattern repeat, start point, and plumb line planned across the room before the first strip is hung.
Clean Seam Work
Seams butted not overlapped, rolled flat, and excess paste cleaned off — no shiny lines, no lifted edges, no bubbles.
Materials & Finishes
Wallcoverings we hang.
We install everything from standard pre-pasted residential paper to non-woven, vinyl, grasscloth, fabric-backed commercial wallcoverings, and large-format murals. Pattern match, drop, and seam type vary by product — and we handle each one the way the manufacturer specifies.
For commercial work we follow CCA-W (commercial wallcovering) installation standards, including substrate moisture testing and primer specs when required by the manufacturer warranty.

Why Pristine
Why we get wallpaper jobs.
Patterns line up.
Across switches, around corners, above and below windows — the repeat reads correctly all the way around the room.
Seams disappear.
Properly butted, rolled tight, and cleaned — not overlapped and not gaping. You shouldn't see the seam from across the room.
Removable later.
Because we prime correctly before installing, the next owner (or the next you) can strip the paper without taking the drywall surface with it.
Timeline & Planning
Project timing.
A single accent wall is typically a one-day install once prep is done. A standard powder room takes one to two days. Larger rooms, grasscloth installs, or commercial projects are scheduled by the day with a written count up front.
Removal can take longer than install on stubborn old paper — we always quote removal and re-prep as a separate line so you can see what you're paying for.
