Drywall Repair
Drywall Dent, Hole & Damage Repair
Invisible patches on dents, dings, and holes — repaired and repainted to match the surrounding wall.
Overview
Drywall repair that disappears into the wall.
Door knobs, moved furniture, water leaks, kids, dogs, and the occasional rough day all leave marks on drywall. Most patch jobs end up looking obvious — the surface texture is wrong, the paint sheen doesn't match, or the patch shows when light rakes across the wall.
Our drywall repair is matched to the surrounding wall. We cut clean patches, tape and mud in feathered layers, match the existing texture (smooth, light orange peel, knockdown), and repaint with the correct sheen so the repair disappears when you step back.
Our Process
Step-by-step drywall repair.
Small holes get a clean cut to a square edge, a backer board or California patch installed, three coats of joint compound feathered out a few feet beyond the patch, light sanding between coats, and a final dust sanding before primer.
Large holes (door knob through the wall, water damage, electrical access) get the full drywall replacement — a sized piece of new drywall, tape and mud the seams in three coats, and feathered out the same way.
Texture matching is the part most painters get wrong. We spray, knock down, or stipple to match the existing pattern, then prime the patch and repaint the wall corner-to-corner if the existing finish is faded or sheened differently than the new patch.
What's Included
What drywall repair includes.
We quote drywall repair by the patch — small dings as bundles, larger repairs individually.
Patch & Tape
Backer boards, California patches, or full drywall sections depending on the hole size, all taped and mudded properly.
Multi-Coat Mud
Three coats of joint compound feathered out 18–24 inches beyond the patch — that's why our repairs disappear.
Texture Match
Smooth, light orange peel, or knockdown texture applied to match the surrounding wall.
Primer + Paint
Patch is primed; surrounding paint is corner-to-corner repainted if needed for sheen match.
Materials & Finishes
What we patch with.
USG Sheetrock 90 or Easy Sand 45 for the first coats — fast-setting compounds that don't shrink. USG All-Purpose joint compound for the finish coats. Mesh tape on flat patches, paper tape on corner repairs.
Textures are sprayed or stippled to match. For paint we match the existing wall sheen first, then color — sheen mismatch is the #1 reason patches show.

Why Pristine
Why our patches disappear.
Three coats, feathered far.
Most patches show because they were one fat coat. Three thin coats, feathered way out, is the difference.
Texture matched, not approximated.
Smooth, orange peel, knockdown — we match what's there, with the right spray tip and the right knockdown timing.
Sheen-matched repaint.
Paint sheen flashes in raking light. We repaint corner-to-corner when needed so the patch reads identical to the rest of the wall.
Timeline & Planning
Repair turnaround.
Small patches are typically wrapped in a single day plus a brief return for the final sand and paint. Larger repairs and full ceiling or water-damage patches usually run two to three days with cure time built in.
