Insurance Work

Insurance-Covered Restoration Painting

We work directly with insurance adjusters on covered restoration projects from quote to completion.

Overview

Insurance restoration painting, handled professionally.

When fire, smoke, water, or vandalism damages your home or business, the painting portion of the restoration is often the most visible part of the project. It's also the part that's most often disputed with insurance — overlooked line items, sheen mismatches, and rooms that don't read finished even after the check clears.

We work with adjusters directly. We provide itemized, photo-documented estimates in formats compatible with Xactimate, we coordinate scope changes through your carrier rather than springing them on you, and we deliver work that satisfies both the insured and the claim.

Our Process

Adjuster-friendly from quote to completion.

When we walk a damage claim, we photograph every affected surface, measure every room, and itemize every task — surface prep, primer, two coats of finish, trim, ceilings, and any specialty restoration work like smoke-odor sealing or texture matching.

The estimate goes to you and, with your approval, to your adjuster. If the carrier's scope is different from what we see on site, we document the difference with photos and submit a supplement rather than telling you to pay out of pocket.

Once the scope is approved we schedule the work, complete it cleanly, and provide a final invoice formatted to match the approved estimate line-by-line so the claim closes smoothly.

What's Included

What insurance restoration includes.

Our insurance-work scope is designed to satisfy both the homeowner and the adjuster.

Photo-Documented Estimate

Every damaged surface photographed and itemized so the scope is defensible during claim review.

Xactimate-Compatible Format

Line items written to match the categories adjusters use — primer, two coats, trim, ceiling, masking, prep — so nothing gets stripped during review.

Supplement Handling

When on-site conditions differ from the approved scope, we document and submit a supplement to your carrier rather than billing you for the difference.

Final Invoice Matched to Scope

Final invoice is line-by-line matched to the approved estimate so the claim closes without back-and-forth.

Materials & Finishes

Quality products on insurance work.

We don't downgrade product quality on insurance jobs. The same Sherwin-Williams, Benjamin Moore, and PPG products we use on private-pay projects are what go into restoration work.

For restoration-specific scope — fire, smoke, water — we add the appropriate stain-blocking primers, odor sealers, and mildew-resistant coatings as separate line items on the estimate.

Why adjusters and insureds work with us.

Why Pristine

Why adjusters and insureds work with us.

Clean documentation.

Itemized, photographed, and formatted for insurance review. Claims close faster when the scope is defensible.

Honest scoping.

We don't pad estimates and we don't strip them either. The scope reflects what the property actually needs.

Direct adjuster coordination.

We talk to the adjuster so you don't have to be in the middle of every technical conversation.

Timeline & Planning

Insurance project timelines.

Once scope is approved by the carrier, most single-room restoration projects start within one to two weeks and complete in three to seven working days. Whole-home restoration is scheduled with the larger remediation timeline and usually runs three to six weeks total.

Frequently Asked

Common questions.

Will you bill my insurance directly?

We can in many cases — depending on the carrier and the claim type. Most commonly we invoice you and provide documentation for reimbursement, but direct-bill arrangements are possible on larger restoration projects.

What if the adjuster missed something?

We document the discrepancy with photos and a written supplement, and submit it through your adjuster. We don't ask you to cover scope the carrier should have included.

Do you handle the rest of the restoration too?

We handle paint, primer, and surface restoration. Structural repairs, water mitigation, mold remediation, and HVAC cleaning are coordinated with licensed specialists who we can refer.

Are you licensed, bonded, and insured?

Yes — full general liability, workers compensation, and an umbrella policy. We're happy to send certificates of insurance to your management company or HOA before the job starts.

Do you offer a workmanship guarantee?

Every project we do is backed by a 2-year workmanship guarantee. If something fails for a reason that's on us, we come back and make it right.

How long does an estimate take?

Most estimates go out within a few days of the on-site visit. Larger projects with multiple finishes or phased scope may take up to a week so we can price it properly.

Do you handle prep work like patching and sanding?

Yes — proper prep is the entire reason our finishes last. Patching, sanding, caulking, priming, and surface cleaning are all included in the line-item scope, not surprise add-ons.
